## About

HoraView is a web application that generates North Indian style Vedic astrology (Jyotish) charts instantly in the browser. It was created by Nathan (Mahesh) Iyer, an engineer with a passion for the mathematical sophistication and symbolism of Vedic astrology.

The tool preserves actual polar-coordinate positions of planets on the chart — degrees are mapped to their true astronomical locations, not just placed in house boxes. The rendering engine evolved from QuickSmith, an open-source RF Smith Chart tool, applying the same polar coordinate system to astrological charts.
